Lights concert/Washington DC (part one)

so I know that everyone is tired of hearing about LIGHTS. but come on. my first concert! I have to go on and on about it, right? :)
she is so amazing, you guys. such a talented singer,

sunday Erika, Leah, my dad, and I left for Vienna, VA at around 11:30 AM. the car ride was fun, of course! I love being in the car for a really long time.. it's so cool to look at all of the surroundings.
so we got in Vienna around.. 4:30 pm, I think. we showed up at Jammin' Java at 4:45. we walked into the cafe and I heard a worker say to another guy "she'll be here in five minutes. she's coming in the back door." and I got soooo excited :D so they told us to wait outside and that the doors would open at 7:00 (the concert started at 8). it was a long wait outside, but it didn't seem bad at all. Leah and I just talked and Erika went back into the truck to rest.
finally everyone started moving - they'd opened the doors! we got in the cafe and it was realllly cool.

we were very close to the stage, as you can see in the picture. the lighting was so cool all night. it changed from red to purple to green to blue.
we sat in the cafe for a little over an hour, then finally LIGHTS popped out on the stage :D the first song she played was February Air. she stopped mid-verse and said "this guitar is out of tune." and tuned it, then continued to sing. she was so down-to-earth and friendly through the whole concert. people would ask her questions and she'd answer them. and one person said "please sing Drive My Soul!" and so she did.
towards the end someone gave her a bouquet of roses. Erika decided that it would be a good time to give her the shirt she'd created for her. so Erika ran up to the stage and handed her the package. LIGHTS said "oh, thank you! you're so sweet!" and then she said into the microphone "this is like, the town of giving!"

after the concert, she exited the stage. Erika, Leah, and I (along with some strangers) went back towards the part of the cafe she'd gone to. we waited for a while, then her manager said "LIGHTS is doing a meet and greet soon. you can go to the front of the cafe to get in line!" and I squeaked with happiness.

after a suuuuper long wait in line, finally, I was able to meet miss LIGHTS<3 she is so super sweet. this is how it went down (as far as I can remember)
me: Hi Lights!!!!
Lights: heyyyy!
me: here, this is for you! *hands book to her*
Lights: oooh, what is it?
me: a book! it will change your life.
Lights: well that's awesome! I'm excited now!
me (majorly grinning): can you sign these things?
Lights: yeeees, of course!
me: *hands her a CD and something for a friend*
Lights: *looking at the paper for Charlie* oh, now that's awesome. I will definitely sign that!
then something that I don't remember.
me: and a picture, too!
Lights: yes yes, of course!
so Erika took the picture, and the camera was accidentally zoomed in up close, so we took two :D me: oh, and would you mind signing my shirt too? *laughing*
Lights: sure, no problem!
me: thank you sooo much, Lights! I love you!
Lights: I love you too!!!!!

ahhh :D such an amazing night. I'll never forget it... obviously I have it all stored up in my head, hehe. after the concert, we all went to our hotel. I was super hyper for a while, but fell asleep almost as soon as I laid down. :p part two coming soon...!

and here's a video I took...

we approach the streets with a clear conscience.. we'll survive.

here I sit. =]
book reading Ron. trying to read seven books at the same time. very hard, haha. one of the books is "A Treasury of Hans Christian Andersen".. all of the fairy tales he wrote. the last time it was borrowed (library book) was in 1997. it has that classic "old book" smell. so many magical stories are waiting inside of it.

Erika, Leah, and I bought our tickets to see LIGHTS live. I checked the website and they're sold out now. I'm so glad that we bought them when we did! August 1st =]

I've had this song on repeat all day. I can't wait til her acoustic EP comes out! it will be here July 20th, which is also the date of Tokio Hotel's live CD/DVD. I am getting that for my birthday, and I'll get Lights' acoustic EP when I get my tickets at the venue of her concert. so exciting!

I'm off to read more.. eventually these blogs will be interesting :p

Stevie Wonder's Blank Mind.

My solid white room. Ever since I painted it, I don't sleep well. Weird.

9:09 AM. I'm still awake, of course. Most people don't blog when they're asleep. Although some might. I wonder what my blogs would say if I was asleep. They would probably make more sense.

It's still dark looking outside. Raining all week. Kind of a gloomy day. Last night I chatted with Sam, Bachi, Charlie, and Chris. I'm not good at multi-tasking. I should really start using MSN again, because I don't like Facebook chat.

Rant rant rant, babble babble babble.

I just spent nearly twenty minutes trying to find my old Xanga account. No luck I know it's out there somewhere. As well as another old Blogger. I'm always making online journals and forgetting about them.

I've been writing stories all night. Stories that are secrets. Fantasy, myth, desperation, and drugs. Those sum my stories up, pretty much.

I think it's time for bed. Brushing the teeth, reading some German books, and then walking into a world of mushrooms, fireflies, lights, and fairies............ Actually, I'll probably have a boring dream and forget about it before I even have the chance to think about it.

Goodnight/Morning, wherever you are <3

Mia Culpa!

I hate how everytime you create an account somewhere they make you do that ridiculous "Captcha" or whatever they call it. I always get it wrong the first time. Why do they make the letters/numbers so hard to read? While I was making this account, I clicked on this little buton beside the "Captcha". It was a handicapped sign. Then all of a sudden this weird robot is talking. It was insane.

These blogs make people feel cool. That's why I made one. And also to follow Jade Puget, cause he's the man.

Follow me. I might entertain you.
Check out that picture. What a fun day.
Boom boom pow.
